One of several activities and events sponsored by The Gandhi Foundation, the Exhibition of Natural Fibres is coming to Kingsley Hall in December 2021.
The exhibition features indigenous cotton, wool, forest silks, and jute and celebrates and showcases the production cycles from seed to clothing. There will be a whole range of activities and displays that include:
• A Khadi/Gandhi documentary screening
• Cotton Weaving and spinning demonstrations
• Sustainable fashion stalls
An important part of the exhibit features the work of student designers from the Chelsea College of Arts who worked on the Khadi Competition that was jointly sponsored by the Indian High Commission in London and Khadi London.
The exhibition will be hosted at Kingsley Hall on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 December 2021.
