Gandhi Foundation Multi-Faith Celebration 2018

The Gandhi Foundation and the Bhavan Indian cultural centre present:
A Multi Faith Concert: Featuring performances and exhibitions by artists inspired by faith and interfaith harmony
Saturday 3 February 2018, 6-8.30 pm
At the Bhavan Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, 4a Castletown Road, West Kensington,

London, W14 9HE.

The current schedule is as follows:

  • 18.00 – Welcome and intro
  • 18.10-18.20- Syrian musician, Bassel Saleh (search on Facebook)
  • 18.20-18.30- Mike Parsons from Eastbeat @ Kingsley Hall (@Eastbeat1)
  • 18.30-18.40- Classical Indian dancer, Janaki Mehta (see her perform at
  • 18.40-18.50- Laura Topper, spiritual songwriter/singer and speaker (, @laura_topper) and Jason Salmon
  • 18.50-19.00- Sue Gilmurray, from Anglican Pacifist Fellowship and Musicians for Peace and Disarmament (
  • 19.00-19.10- Musician and singer, Julia Katarina who will perform Palestinian songs and Qawaali (
  • 19.10-19.20- Najma Akhtar, singer, accompanied by Ramon Goose on guitar (
  • 19.20-19.30- Alevi Deyiş Music (British Alevi Federation-
  • 19.30-19.40- Saara Majid, who will perform songs from the Sufi tradition
  • 19.40-19.50-Members of ‘Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur’ performing some of Mahatma Gandhi’s favourite songs (
  • 19.50-20.00- Evelyn Blacklock and Ken Cook, singers and songwriters (search on Facebook, @rainbowcatmusic)

This event is free to attend but a suggested donation of £5-10, collected on the door on the night of the event, would be most welcome.
